Unusual 19thc. Staffordshire Royalty group of Prince & Princess Royal with a dog between them, they are seated before a tree stump (splill holder) with a train emerging from tunnel below. It is thought that this figure was made to commemorate the first express train in the Scottish service ran between Euston & Edinburgh-Glasgow on Febreuary 29th, 1848. Leaving Euston at 10 a.m. it reached Princess Street by 1.40 a.m. the following day (1st class only)
