Staffordshire spill vase with a hunting theme which features a hunter with his two dogs (whippets/greyhounds). Book reference,'Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875' Book 2, by A.& N. Harding, page 53, figure 1812. Height. 10.6". Base 6.7" x 2.8". 

Condition:. Generally good. Two tight surface hairlines to spill rim. Some small flakes to spill rim, gun, white ground and lower base edge. Some rubbing to gilt. RESTORATION: His head reglued and join retouched. Filled chips to his hat, face, left hand, black dog's ear, ground behind brown dog's tail, ground and base. Stabilised and retouched hairline to brown dog's muzzle.
