Originally represented the Holy Lamb. It was also the coat-of-arms of the Templars, a medieval military religious order found to protectthe Holy Sepulchre and Christian pilgrims. The Paschal Lamb was thew ancient badge of the Queen's Royal Regiment (West Surrey) and was conferred to the regiment in the Royal Warrant of July 1st 1751.
