Rare pair 19thc. Staffordshire Portrait figures of Duke of Edinburgh and the Duchess of Edinburgh..  The Duke was Prince Alfred the 2 nd son of Queen Victoria and he married the Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia in 1874.  This staffordshire was made at the time of their marriage in 1874.  They stand 14 1/8" and 13 1/8".  Condition: both necks professionally restored and the Duchess's finger restored (see photographs).
