A very rare and desirable 19thc. Staffordshire Theatrical Figure of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. They were the subject of an opera, Anna Bolena by Gaetano Donizetti first performed in Milan 1822 and later throughout Europe. Henry stands to the right and Anne Boleyn to his left, he is holding her left hand with his right hand. Very well coloured figure. The strange thing is that the headdress on Anne was that worn by Katherine of Aragon.
