An early 19thc. Staffordshire Pearlware square based figure titled LOST PIECE, probably made by Dudson.

The parable of The Lost Coin (Luke 15:8-10) tells of a poor woman who finds a coin she has lost. The parable is one of redemption, with the coin symbolizing a redeemed sinner.  Figures portraying this parable can pair with figures depicting The Parable of the Lost Sheep, but the figures were probably not necessarily paired at manufacture and seldom occur in pairs today
