Rare religious 19th century Staffordshire figure of Dr. Raffles - Pugh's D334 , plate 19. 8.5" high. Thomas Raffles worked in Liverpool 1811-1862. it was said of him that he was "tall and dignified, his voice and manner were suasive".  Chairman of the Congregational Union.
